Hubballi: Minister Santosh Lad has stated that he has no interest in national politics and is content to continue in state politics.

Addressing reporters on the sidelines of an HDMC review meeting, Lad responded to journalists’ questions about his potential candidacy for the Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency on the Congress party ticket. He expressed uncertainty about whether the party was considering his name but asserted his lack of interest in national politics.

Lad emphasized his commitment to working beyond his limits to ensure the victory of the Congress party’s Lok Sabha candidate from Dharwad constituency, whoever that may be. Even if the party insists, he would humbly decline any interest in contesting.

Regarding Union Minister Pralhad Joshi’s alleged statement that CM Siddaramaiah is running the government like ISIS, Minister Lad strongly criticized Joshi.

He condemned Joshi’s statement, deeming it highly unacceptable. Lad suggested that if a government is functioning like ISIS, then PM Modi should resign from his post. He urged Mr. Pralhad Joshi to step down from his position, expressing respect towards Joshi but emphasizing the need for him to retract his words.
